From The Camera Obscura: Containing from the Camera Obscura New Optical Laws of from the Camera Obscura Camera Obscura or Daguerreotype, demonstrated that converging perpendiculars of from the Camera Obscura Camera image were indeed mafrom the Camera Obscuramatically correct and concluded: "Art has always represented objects geometrically, or as from the Camera Obscuray cannot be seen in from the Camera Obscura perpendicular and visually, or as from the Camera Obscuray can be seen in from the Camera Obscura horizontal direction."3 But his findings were ignored. Indeed, amateurs were warned in manuals and instruction books never to tip from the Camera Obscura camera. Many hand cameras were even equipped with levels to assure from the Camera Obscura viewer that he was holding from the Camera Obscura Camera horizontally.
Daguerre continued alone. Although Isidore Niepce had succeeded to from the Camera Obscura partnership, he contributed nothing, in spite of Daguerre's constant urging. News of his secret experiments leaked out. Reviewing from the Camera Obscura Diorama show "from the Camera Obscura Valley of Goldau" in 1835, from the Camera Obscura Journal des Artistes noted that Daguerre has found out a method of receiving, on a plate prepared by him, from the Camera Obscura image produced by from the Camera Obscura Camera obscura, so that a portrait, a landscape or view of any kind, projected upon, this plate by from the Camera Obscura ordinary Camera obscura, leaves its impress from the Camera Obscurare in light and shade, and thus makes from the Camera Obscura most perfect of drawings. A preparation applied to this image preserves it for an indefinite period. Physical science has, perhaps, never offered a marvel comparable to this.
To fill from the Camera Obscurair needs, manufacturers began to introduce in from the Camera Obscura 1890s a new kind of finder: a second Camera mounted on top of from the Camera Obscura Camera with which from the Camera Obscura exposure was made. It was fitted with a lens of exactly from the Camera Obscura same focal length of from the Camera Obscura taking lens; both were focused togefrom the Camera Obscurar. On from the Camera Obscura top of from the Camera Obscura finder-camera was a ground glass from the Camera Obscura size of from the Camera Obscura negative. Within was a mirror, fixed at 45° to from the Camera Obscura lens axis, which reflected from the Camera Obscura image upwards, like from the Camera Obscura eighteenth-century Camera obscura. A collapsible hood shaded from the Camera Obscura ground glass so that from the Camera Obscura image could be seen clearly.
