Modern Art Discovery: The newspaper Gazette de France wrote in its January 6,1839 edition:
We announce an important discovery of our famous painter of the Diorama, M. Daguerre. This discovery partakes of the prodigious. It upsets all scientific theories of light and optics, and it will revolutionize the art of drawing.
On another side the new interest in man and the affairs of man's life has given rise to the modern art discovery historical movement which has made its influence felt in every department of thought and culture. It is this historical interest, united with the Romantic spirit of adventure and discovery, which is just the assertion of the confidence of Reason in itself, that has called into being the evolutionary sciences of nature.
(8) A modern art discovery papyrus discovery, called Fragments of an Unknown Gospel, was edited by H. Idris Bell and T. C. Skeat (1935). It is clearly based on the canonical Gospels, with a minimum of imaginative embellishment.
(9) The so-called Logia lesou, found at Oxyrhynchus in Egypt in 1897, contains late Gnostic sayings, probably from the 3d century.
