Moments In History: Music was the mainstay for the first few years of broadcasting; it ranged from dance orchestras and the likes of the A 6- P Gypsies and the Cliquot Club Eskimos to the New York Philharmonic broadcasts on CBS and Walter Damrosch's Music Appreciation Hour on NBC.
Drama was first introduced into broadcasting by WGY in Schenectady, N. Y., in August 1922, in part because the area had few musicians and singers. In the spring of 1924 the WGY players were on network radio. By the end of the 1920's drama programs such as the Eveready Hour, Great Moments in History, and True Story were offered. First Nighter came along in 1930; Lux Radio Theater, the best known but not the first of the Hollywood-based dramatic shows, began in 1934.
His History of Ionian Philosophy(1821) ; History of the Pythagorean Philosophy (1826), and Notes on the Philosophy of the Megarean School in the Rheinisches Museum, are models of historical investigation on the principles of Schleiermacher. His historical masterpiece is the History of Philosophy (1829-53), which deals with general history up to the time of Kant. It was supplemented by a Review of the History of German Philosophy from the Time of Kant (1853).
The skin is usually shed periodically during growth, then regularly after maturity. It is shed all in one piece. As it loosens it is pulled into the corners of the mouth and finally swallowed. The whole process takes but a few short moments.
