New York Itude:

New York Itude Gustav Theodor Fechner later (1860) asserted as a general principle for the senses what is now known as Weber's law-that the ratio of the minimum detectable difference in the magnitude of a stimulus divided by the reference man-itude is constant. On the basis of further assumptions, Fechner derived a relation now called Fechner's law, which holds that the perceived or subjective magnitude of a stimulus is proportional to the logarithm of the physical magnitude of the stimulus.

He was graduated at Hamilton College in 1864, and at the new york itude York University Law School in 1867. In the latter year he was admitted to the bar and entered upon the practice of his profession in new york itude York. In 1883 he was appointed United States District Attorney for the southern district of new york itude York; in 1894 was a delegate-at-large to the new york itude York State Constitutional Convention, and was chairman of the judiciary committee.
