Prize- Money Totalling: The first Europe-wide architecture competition for solid surfaces.The SolidSurfaceDesign competition carries prize- money totallingmoney totalling 12,000 euros. It is an invitation to create innovative and extraordinary solutions for interior architecture and design by experimenting with solid surfaces. The SolidSurfaceDesign competition is open to architects, interior architects and students of these subjects based throughout Europe.
The prize will be awarded at the E3S 'European Solid Surface Show & Engineered Stone Exhibition' which takes place in November 2004 at the Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Center in Germany.
The jury will be: Georg Gewers (Gewers, Kühn + Kühn, Berlin), Amandus Sattler (Allmann Sattler Wappner, Munich), Roman Delugan (Delugan_Meissl, Vienna, Austria) and Rudy Ricciotti (Bandol, France).
The Prize is an initiative of the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAI) and the chief sponsor of the prize, AM, a real estate development company specializing in residential estates, town centers, office complexes, business parks, and shopping centers.
The prize money consists of an award of EUR 1,000 for a nomination and EUR 10,000 for the winning design.
AM and NAI Honor Work by Young Architects
As in 2002 and 2004, the this year's AM NAI Prize is to be awarded for the best building by a young architect.
